We will be purchasing a new pug puppy next week and would like some good ideas for names...

Anlan – great hound or warrior, this name has a majestic ring to it
Bannon – white - wheaten terrier
Blaine – thin - greyhound, whippet
Bran, Brenna –raven, Bran is the name of an adventurer
Caha – showery mountain - Caha is two syllables, good when calling a dog
Cara – friend – every dog
Cargan – little rock – would suit a small breed of dog
Carrig - rock
Carey – dark (Black Labrador)
Conan – hound – has a protective ring to it

I like the name Scotty for any dog. For some reason, I think it would go better with a pug... that's my opinion though.

Someone I know I think named their pug Frank.

My pugs name is Hunter I had onther pug named Lexi
My sister just named her new puppy Bailey

My friend has a pug and his name is Sabado... pronouced: Sab a doe... *lol* it means Saturday in Spanish I think she said... I really like it though... I mean it's really creative... Or try Friday in Spanish or Chinese or something! Or just do like your favorite word in another lingo... Sorry I just really like the "in another language" thing with names! *lol* = )

We have two named Sydney and Adelaide (Addie). I would wait until you have the dog to decide on a name. When you see them and their personality then you will have a better idea of what to name them.

We named ours Weezer. He wheezed like crazy as pugs do, so we named him Weezer (spelt like the band). Better get a good vacuum they shed like crazy!!!!

chato, or chata if female.
Chato means like little smashed face. its a common name for dogs like pugs, boxers - down here in south cali.
