By "confront" do you mean "talk to?" Confront has negative connotations.

To talk to a BOY YOU don't KNOW well...be near him in a common place like a library or at lunch. Strike up conversation about something simple...like a class, book, the news, weather...whatever. Let the conversation lead you. Don't seem too desperate or giggly.

Also, intentionally writing or talking as if you aren't intelligent isn't attractive.

Confront...means question. Do you mean approach? The best way to approach a boy (or boi, is that a fish like a koi?) is to say hello. Depending on where your at...ask him a question...where do you go to school...do you live around here? Those are considered ice breakers.
