Hey Nanrich,

Check out the Genform site. Lots of people interested in Apodaca's. Your Grandparents genealogy, is yours too! You can use vital records (marriage certificate, Birth, death, obits, wills, probate, etc), which will give you clues to who their parents were, and where/when/how they came to Las Cruces.

For Obits, go to the local library armed with information on death dates. Ask the librarian for help , that is what they love to do.

For Vital Records, I found some NM sites for you. You can get their records from these sites. If they come from Spain, Mexico, or South America, you will need to search for the Vital Record sites for their birth location. That will help you find their ancestors.

The last site has 207 Apodaca entries. They may or may not be ancestors going back into the 1700s. You will have to link one to the other yourself. This is the Family Search Site. Simply click on the link, then enter in your surname, Apodaca, and click on the exact spelling check box. As you work your way through this list, at the bottom of a section, there may be a link to go to more entries - use it.

Hope this helps you out.
