Why is it that almost EVERY character in the show has eyebrows, EXCEPT Dora and Boots???
If Dora is such a great soccer player, why doesn't she just jump up and wheel-kick Swiper right in the nads everytime he shows up to steal something??? Or for that matter, why not give a nutshot to The Grumpy Old Troll and just go around him to cross the bridge?
Who was the idiot that planned the roads and pathways in her world? They never go AROUND the damned mountain. They always go right up to it so folks have to CLIMB the mountain.
Does anyone else find it a little disturbing that Boots walks around naked, except for a pair of red boots (gaydar off the chart!), when his mom and dad both wear full sets of clothes?
What the hell did they feed that Big Red Chicken, anyway?
I think Swiper sounds an awful lot like Map. I smell a conspiracy. You?

At least the Backyardigans have cool music. My wife is going to disown me if I don't give back the Backyardigans music CD that I swiped from my oldest daughter.

I have a very simple answer to your question. IT'S A KIDS SHOW! IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO MAKE SENSE TO ADULTS! That's all there is to it. You think Dora is bad, watch Boobah. That show makes absolutely no sense at all and toddlers love it. Phallically shaped rainbow coulored objects bouncing around the screen with kids laughing in the backround, strange noises and some little kid shouting BOOBAH throughout the whole show.

I also have two little girls and I am terribly sorry to say but I have never paid enough attention to catch ALL of that. On the other hand, I have caught a lot of it and yes... it is a conspiracy. Also... have you ever noticed that on Go Diego Go Dora shows up a lot... but on Dora the Explorer Diego and his sister rarely show up?? Just another interesting tid bit for you!!
Another observation... babysitters need to charge less so parents can get out more. LOL
I agree about the rescue pack. I wish I had his backpack. Or the drugs the producers use before writing this stuff!!!

Ok the funniest was the comment about Boots! I completely AGREE!!!!
Luckily my son doesn't care THAT much for Dora (He still watches it though), However if I have to sit through another Backyardigans or Wonder Pets I think I will Scream!!

oh man this is the best stuff i've read here in a long time...too funny and i can relate....
never noticed the eye brow thing and since you mentioned it i have looked at all her dora dolls and they also dont have eyebrows
i've never seen boots' mom so i cant comment on the clothes but i have seen his dad and hes in a tie and shirt and his boy is naked...isnt his dad an architect or something so maybe he was involved in the road planning some how

Sounds like you have too much time on your hands and should try watching something else - have you tried Go Diego Go - its like Dora but more in the jungle / adventure.
Surely one question to add on to your is :- why do they think its ok to have a talking rucksack??
Look at Rosie and Jim, the Magic roundabout, Tots TV, Boobah - all weird but kids love them = they're not there for us to make sense of.

I even have truthfully by no potential observed the eyebrow element. it somewhat is going to difficulty me each and every time I watch it now(with my babies, of direction). the full highway element is to spice up situation fixing skills. so some distance as Boots is going, I agree that he could stand to placed on some clothing.

I have noticed them but my 4 year old dont.
