When my boyfriend was serving in Iraq - I asked him what he would like as it is hard to send certain things out there such as aerosols, food stuffs. I sent him the latest England shirt and a picture of me wearing it to show him what he was missing - I also sent a St Christopher pendant to keep him safe and a diary so that he could record all of his thoughts - it can make a nice keepsake - other than that ask him as there would be nothing worse than getting him something that will not make it through customs - good luck - I hope you find something nice - sorry I could not help more

Generally the best things are the things that you cant get over there. Ask him if possible. Soft toilet paper, good razor blades etc. "PINKIE" has the best idea with the mouthwash though. Just remeber to try and make it look sealed again. I would be over the moon if i got something like that. Also get some letters from friends and family, christmas cards etc. Always goes down well.
p.s. and some interesting pics of you showing him what is waiting when he gets back....if you know what i mean. Just be sure and warn him whats inside.....you dont want to be the Barrack Beauty....lol

A photo of yourself in the sweetest tiny bikini you can squeeze into.
Rule number one...never send a squaddie a 'dear John' not when he's facing the enemy. Wait until he comes back to UK and then send him a text.

If you are talking to him...find out if there is anything that he is unable to get while deployed. I've been deployed in the past and the best thing is usally the simple stuff. Music CD's, shaving cream that he likes, maybe some nice toilet paper (some of the stuff we got was really rough:) ) and a few pictures.

I think that he would enjoy a box of delicious foods. This would be good because obviously they don't get that great of food in Iraq. Also...slip a recent pic of you in..he should like that. I hope that he makes it home safely. God Bless!!

Perhaps buy a nice book on Amazon.iraq and have them ship it locally. Much cheaper than having it shipped from Amazon in the US.
