im doing a ceremonial speech for class and have decided to do a tribute to soldiers. a tribute for being brave, selfless and loyal. but i would like some more ideas on attributes of a soldier and why they are so great, can anyone help out?

They work long and hard hours for little pay, when there are better alternatives for them. They fight for the nation. They die for the nation. They volunteer to do it without being fully compensated for it!

Believing in patriotic ideals and serving our country(regardless whether that war is right or wrong) despite being ridiculed as stupid by John Kerry and others.

They live and die for what they believe. They will go to places, even though they know they might not be able to get out .

they are honorable, courageous, respectable, caring, strong mentally and physically, etc. they have a unique mentality that lets them make sacrifices for their country, even when their countrymen shun them.
