I have a couple. Here's one from Shakespeare ...
This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
Farewell; my blessing season this in thee!
But I think the one at this link is my absolute favorite. I know it by heart.

Oh, wow....I have so many quotes and sayings, it's so hard to chose just one! I have 2 that have a similar theme to them. I couldn't decide which one to choose so I'll have to write both.
First one:
"You ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? It makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other peoples lives have we been in? Were we a part of someone’s life when their dream came true? Or were we there when their dreams died? Did we keep trying to get in, as if we were somehow destined to be there? Or did the shot take us by surprise? Just think, you could be a big part of someone else’s life. And not even know it."
Second one:
You never know when someone
May catch a dream for you.
You never know when a little word
or something you may do
May open up the windows
Of a mind that seeks the light - -
The way you live may not matter at all,
But you never know - - it might.
And just in case it could be
That another's life, through you,
Might possibly change for the better
With a broader and brighter view,
It seems it might be worth a try
At pointing the way to the right - -
Of course, it might not matter at all,
But then again - - it might.

The best quote is from the movie Akeelah and the Bee. It talks about how you should believe in yourself and people are afraid of themselves. It is great. I love Akeelah and the Bee!! :)
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

A thousand years ago everybody knew as a fact, that the earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, they knew it was flat. Fifteen minutes ago, you knew we humans were alone on it. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow

I think this quote's one of the greatest of all time:
"Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em."
William Shakespeare
(Twelfth Night, II, v.)
