Nice try, but not exactly accurate...

The rank of the Captain of a ship differs according to the size of the ship. You will never have an Admiral as the actual Commanding Officer of a ship. They are Captains at most. Some smaller ships have Commanders. As for the ranks on a ship, there all ranks on a ship. Find a link for the ranks in the Navy, and there is your answer...

you'll have an admiral, which is the captain of the ship, some lieutenants, ensigns, chiefs, petty officers, then finally the seamen. i don't know if that's what you're looking for, but i tried.
