Well, a Chinese Crested requires lots of sun block from the sun and lotion for it's skin. They usually lose their teeth after a few years, because of the way they are bred, and have to be cared for greatly because of their fine-boned and slender body. They may appear breakable, so you must be careful holding it and walking it, and also during interaction with other dogs. They are very alert, so if you want a good watchdog, the Chinese Crested and the Chihuahua are good pets.

The Bichon Frise requires immense grooming, and their fur must always be clean and without tangles, so expect to waste a sum of money from the weekly (or daily) visits to the grooming salon. They are gentle mannered and playful, but maybe not a good house pet, especially with children. They are small, about 10 in. in size.

Thus, I shall end with: if you want to care deeply for these dogs, then you can buy one or the other, not both. But if you don't have the time or money, why don't you go to the adoption center where you can adopt an adorable dog, wether the size or breed.

(you also have to think about the size of your house and/or backyard, some dogs are House dogs, and others, like the rottweiler, are not)

You should get a Bichon Frise.
Chinese Cresteds are wonderful. The only problem is their skin takes a lot of care. They have to wear sweaters when it's cold and sun-lotion when it's warm or hot. Their skin dries out easily, so lotioning them is needed every day. A Bichon Frise would be a lot easier to take care of.
If you get the Bichon Frise, just take it to the groomer every once in a while and you should be fine.
They are both very cute dogs. :)

Bichon Frise... Even though they have more grooming to do, they are extremely intelligent and friendly. Chinese Crested need A LOT of sun block lotion in the summer, and it can be a hassle!

Yes, I think that you should go to the animal shelter and look to see if either of those breeds are there for you to adopt...but if not...Chinese Crested have more health problems then Bichons...and Bichons are WAY cuter!! Hope I helped!!

There both really cute dogs but one thing to consider is bichon frise's require alot of grooming while chinese creasted hairless doesnt have much hair so it would be alot cheaper and easier. It all depends on how much time you have.

Chinese crested have a lot of skin and teeth problems.

Try adopting a rescue pup from the Humane Society, there are a lot of purebred dogs up for adoption. My own preference is for the mixed breeds: I have a fantastic terrier Dalmatian mix who is my baby

Get a Bichon...I had one when I was younger and she was awesome..They are one of the only dogs that is hypoallergenic and hardly ever sheds. You don't have to keep their hair like they do in dog shows...we kept our pup's hair short and she was adorable..Good luck with your new pup!
