You should compare jails today to the Devil's Island jail...the worst jail ever. I think if you have food everyday, medical care, and cable than you have it better that even most americans.

First you have to decide your own definition of "fair treatment"
If you feel that "fair treatment" means having private rooms with bath, and most of the freedoms available to those on the outside, than my answer has to be NO.
However, if you mean having a comfortable bed to sleep on and 3 nutritious meals a day, good medical care, and a place to exercise then a resounding YES!

As a prison officer, i believe that all prisoners recieve fair treatment and the only one's who don't are the ones who percieve they are being persecuted, and this is usually due to them being threatening/violent and generally non-conforming to what is a just regime. You can keep some but not all happy for most of the time. Jail is only as difficult as the prisoner wants to make it for themselves. Hope this helps.

Of course you should be treated fairly in jail and why would anyone have to explain that to you? What kind of an absurd question is that? If you have been jailed and were GENUINELY not treated fairly, you have the grounds for a lawsuit.

They are there for a reason, and should be treated the same way they treated the victims. They are lucky they are not jailed up in some foreign country, and lets see how many start crying for their mommies. They get too many perks as it is, and of course at the taxpayers expense.

To be unfair to someone in jail takes us back a few thousand years. Don't you think?
Everyone has the right to being treated with dignity. EVERYONE.

What is 'fair treatment? Also, you need to improve your writing skills. Your spelling is bad, your grammar is bad, and your abbreviations are teenage street and will get you an "F" quicker than not even turning in the assignment.
