I'm making sugar cookies and was wondering if adding red or green food coloring would affect the taste of the cookies.

If all you add is coloring, it won't change the taste. It's fun to take one part of the dough and color it red, leave one part white, and color the other part green, then work them together a little bit so they stick together. You'll have very merry cookies that way. (If you over-mix the three colors, however, you'll have a dull brownish blah color.)

Nope, not at all. Food coloring has no taste when it is put into food, it's used for this purpose and doesn't contain anything toxic or harmful.

No.......it won't hurt to add food coloring cuz all it does is change the color of the dough........not the texture or the taste.
