flights are very cheap as its off-season, I just wondering weather i'd be able to get onto the beach

well..the prices are cheaper for a reason...not the best time to go..especially if you like sunbathing and swimming in the sea...

We lived on Sardinia for two years..On a little island called Lamaddalena....In March it will not be warm enough to go to the beach..Maybe April or May at the earliest. It is still very beautiful there with lots of sight seeing...

If March is the only time you have to go then GO, but the beaches will be better in the later part of spring.
