Ok, my sister and her husband got this keyboard/piano (whatever) for free and they dont know where to put it since they know they won't use it. They know I LOVE music and know how to read it, so they suggested to my parents to keep it for me. They said there's no space in my house to put it. But there is plenty. They're just not supportive of constructive activities.lol. ireally want it and it's better because it's free. my sister told them that it didn't take up much space but they didn't say anything.
how can i convince them??? I really want it!

If you want the piano that much, you are not going to give up convincing your parents right? You need to show your parents how much this piano/keyboard means to you. If your parents see how much desire you want the piano, i am pretty sure they'll let you keep it. Ask your parents have they ever wanted something so much.. and say that something for you is the piano, but don't whine abou getting the piano too much because that will lessen your possibility of getting one.
good luck

The problem is you're parents see this as a waste of time more than a waste of space. Try telling them you want to pursue a career in music, and that you have written some lyrics and need the right tool to put music to it. My parents didn't support me either, but I showed them by becoming a professional blues musican by the age of 12, under the guidence of blues legend, Jelly Jam Jar Johnson.

Or tell them if you can't make music your hobby, you'll have to turn to sex and drugs.
Just kidding, don't tell them that. Show them you are mature and responsable. Also, make room for it in your bedroom, as your parents may not want it anywhere else in the house.

By not whining about wanting it. Sit down and TALK with them about it. Give them a clear view of how it doesn't take up a lot of space and how YOU will be responsible for keeping it maintained and clutter/dust free. Also let them know that music and math go hand in hand as music is based on math. Tell them it will help you with math.

Sounds like your parents are being selfish to keep you from a "healthy" thing.
Their careing about their ears right now, not your talents.

Is there anyway the thing has a plug in so it can be used with head phones? If there is and they know this, I bet you won't have any arguments any longer and get to keep it.

Promise to keep your bedroom door closed!
