Sounds like yours prays were answered. Think God and start praying that He show your Mom the way to the Cross. This works. Believe me I know. I have ask God to help me get my family in Church and get them all Saved so we can be in Heaven together. I have a brother that just went through a time. He needed a kidney transplant and the doctors had give up hope, but my Church, Christian friends and myself kept praying. It is now 1 year later and he is on the road to recovery with a new kidney that work great. He and his family are also in church and will testify to this. Don't give up God will work and miracle if you let Him.

I think our God is always a God of second chances! I totally believe the Lord healed her body so that not only will you know He loves you, but that she will know that He loves and cares enough about her to heal her. The Lord works in mysterious ways! She probably needed a scary incident such as being fatally ill to unharden her heart. Keep witnessing and praying for her! If you go to church, have your pastor visit every so often or ask some of the ladies in the church to visit. Good luck!

In the old estament it states there is a purpose and reason for everything. In the New Testament it all things are possible though Jesus Christ... and through this is shown the glory of Christ. Everyday people are healed of illness thru Christ. He states he will be visable in these things. In the case of your mom he has exposed himself to you.... for both you and your Mom and those others who have now seen--- The purpose and reason very well may be for His glory that we might seek after Him. He states He stands at the door and knocks (at our heart, mind, and soul) and that if we open the door for Him He will enter and dwell within us. He also states to not be afraid of Him. This is true and beautiful. You now have witnessed a portion of God and believed. The next step is beautiful too, as He is a loving God who desires to have relationship with you. So loving that He will absolutely not force you to love Him. It is now your choice to tell Him you beleive and ask Him for forgiveness of your sin ( anything you have done wrong before this moment of time and anything you will do wrong in the future. Ask him for His forgiveness, thank Him for what He has done, and ask Him for the relationship with Him He promises to give us. There is nothing greater in our entire life than really meeting Jesus Christ and accepting the gift He has waiting for us. He is real and will give you the best life you could dream for yourself. Life may not always be perfect but He will guarantee you happiness and a peace of mind until we leave this earth for life with Him. There is nothing greater than meeting Him. The comfort, peace , and never ending relationship give a greater happiness than anything I have experienced (such as love, the fastest car, or the finest clothes, a new baby) (nothing compares) Read the New Testment gospel of John or go to a good bible based church to learn more. (Churches such as Calvary Chapel or the Vineyard Christian Fellowships) (or even a Baptist church which teaches correctly tho the first two are more youthful oriented and with awesome music.) Any way... you are right- divinity - Praise Jesus Christ for your mothers improved health and for hearing your frevent prayer. You are blessed. Lift you hands up in the privacy of your room and give Christ the glory for all that He does. Please always trust in Him. Today is your day for salvation. Give Him the glory. May God bless you and keep you all the days of your life. Amen.

I am sincerely happy for you and your mom.

But, on your question of the power of prayer - I would have to wonder about all they other people who are suffering and dying in hospitals right now. Where is god when they need them.

But again, I'm happy for you.

I believe in prayer - not sure where the prayer goes to, exactly, but i've seen things that seem miraculous after either i, and/or other ppl have prayed...

...i kinda call it "asking the universe for the best possible outcome for all concerned"

Glad to hear about your mother, btw :-)

all religions were written (or whatever you think) by some influential persons, who are dead long ago or in heaven/hell (what a joke)

In those days since most people were illiterates ( lack of knowledge of science and things like that), so rumours about wonder cures, miracles spread easily faster than the disease itself.

people (those days) were mainly simple (dependent on agriculture, animals etc, etc) so could be easily manupulated by influential persons( something like our present day politicians/leaders or gods)
they tought them how to live, and these people easily became their
soft preys, spreading their messages (guidebooks or whatever) for free. they became big brands (like coke)
or we all are psychologically weak , that we need a deadman's "how to guides" to live our lives. (there are lot of free self-help articles, stories out there)don't we know how to use our brains?(or trash your brains) please don't tell me rain, forest theories.why are we advertising fr free
