i cant think of a damn thing to get my sister for xmas. shes 16, and LIVES for track & cross country & running in general. shes a bit of a nerd. im a teen & in college so im pretty much broke i can only afford to spend the MOST at 50 bucks on her even though id like to spend more.
please give me any ideas as a gift for her!

I bet she likes music. Get her a gift certificate to a music store....
Have your Mom help you pick out a new sweater, scarf or something she will like, if you are not good at that kind of thing.
Or...If you are away at college, she probably doesn't get to spend much time with you....what about taking her out to dinner and a movie? Treat her like a "grown up," listen to her and let her know you are interested in her as a person...not just a little sister. Something like this, would be awesome--and it could create a memory she will cherish!

Get her something she can use for track/cross country or just get her a gift card to a store you know that she likes. For teenage girls that is probably the best idea, nerd or not. :)

Why don't you go to your college bookstore and get her a Track t-shirt - she'll appreciate you thought of her interests and got her a shirt from your school. That's what I did for my sis when she was 16 last year - she's all about volleyball and I got her a shirt from my school with a volleyball on it.

Get her a gift certificate to "Lady Foot Locker", or go to a music store for something portable she can listen to music while she is running. (and a smalll can of mace, just in case).

Take her out for a night in the town... Take her out to the movies and then dinner...Spend sometime with her...or buy her clothes..underwear...sporty clothing..

you could always get her a gift card at her favorite shopping store for 50.00. or just the money.. you could also get her a nice pair of earrings if she's into jewelry...
