Nothing out of the usual. It is not the intellectual learning of God why people come to Him. They accept Him by faith and faith alone. Not proof.
Faith is your proof.
What you describes only means the person never met Jesus Christ for if they did meet Him they would/could NEVER deny Him.

I'd say he'd have to be very careful which church he goes to, as many many churches concentrate on the condemnatory stuff fro the OT (which is not only Old Testament, but Old Covenant, and therefore not Christianity), or on Paul, NOT Jesus.
It would be a very good thing to get yourself a copy of the bible that has the words attributed to Jesus in a different color than the rest of the text, and then JUST read the stuff that's in that color.

I also believe that Jesus was an amazing man with and important spot in history, but he is not my Messiah. To me, attending church to learn about Jesus is like attending a speech or service about Gandhi or Martin Luther King Jr. You don't have to worship someone to admire them! So I think it's great that you'd go to church just to learn about Jesus, good for you!

I am afraid Jesus did not leave you with an option of finding Him a "good guy" and not worshiping Him.
I do not mean to sound patronizing, but the message in the Bible is clear. It is not a True/False or a multiple choice test. You must believe to be saved. If you don't, you won't be.

Christian churches and the Bible both teaches you how Jesus IS God. As your understanding of Jesus increases, I'm sure that you will Want to thank God and worship Him. I'm glad that you've chosen to attend a church. Look for God and you will find Him...

If Jesus was not God, he was a terrible "role model". If you'd listened at church you'd know that. Jesus did not come to be a good role model.
He claimed to be God come in the flesh, to be the Savior. He freely admitted that not everyone could accept that. He never forced acceptance on anyone.

No offense, but firstly, Jesus was never considered to be God, but just the Son of God. Go figure!? And I go to a Catholic School, and I am Russian Orthodox. I actaully consider myself as a mix of being agnostic and athiest. I learn about Jesus, but I really do not worship him. Heck! I even have to take tests on the guy!!!

Only God should be worshiped. Jesus was his son a disciple that did Gods work on earth.

I'd say good for him. He is openly admitting to being unsure about his religious orientation and is trying to figure out what the hell(no pun intended) he's should believe. I, an Atheist, have considered upon occasion doing the same thing - I would like to learn more about the Christian faith so that I can decide what my opinions of it really are.

well what i belive in my religion...jesus wasn't god..or the son of god...or anything else like that because god isn't a human being and god can't have kids and stuff like that. but we do believe in jesus and all the stuff that he did. so as long as you believe in that he was a good person and helped people..it's ok.
