Can i add my brother and his car to my insurance policy? He doesn't have insurance cuz he can't afford the whole big down payment to start his own policy. Can i just add him and his car to mine? I don't drive his car and he doesn't drive mine, so would that work?

No. You have to have an insurable interest in the car in order to put it on your policy. You'd have to own it. People try to slip that one past insurance companies, but eventually they find out. You can add him to your policy as a driver if he's going to be driving your vehicles. Sorry to have to give you the bad news.

You can put him and his car on your policy as long as he has the same residence as you. Your policy will break up the premiums, so you will know how much he owes you as well.

you are a nice brother. yes you can, but remember his actions on the road can cause the rates to go higher. you could threaten him with bodily harm if he doesn't behave on the road.
