You can check with the appropriate Police agency but just keep in mind that many agencies have a relatively short retention period for different types of reports. Possibly 10-15 yrs for property crimes, narcotics related, simple assaults etc. Major crimes such as murder, rape or other sexual assaults, child abuse/molest etc may be kept indefinitely. It varies from department to department.
