I have a hypertrophic scar, from stitches. Why do i have this?

I first recieved this b/c i had a biopisy. I originally thought the scar just healed inside out. It is on my neck so it looks like some one tried to slice my neck. I recently found out only 10% of people get this, it is right and will i always heal when i have stiches like this? Is it genetic?

Speak to your Dr about it that did the biopsy.

If your type of skin has this problem, I don't know if a Plastic Surgeon could help or not.
It couldn't hurt to get a consult.
