I'm very ashamed & embarassed about myself.

I have no friends. Had in junior school ( lost contact ), then in senior school, really struggled & didn't make any.

I'm incrediably shy. Hate going anywhere with a group. Never go to parties, etc. And live at home with parents,( i'm 22 )

Also have a fear of, talking on the phone. Last called someone aged 17. (apart from parents ).

Am in desperate need for help. Feeling very lonely, and depressed

If you are a natural person you should try cognitive behavioral therapy. It was the only thing that has helped me with my horrible health anxiety. Read here https://tr.im/7hLZQ

Your thinking determines your quality of life. Your thinking is what causes you these feelings:

Anxious, fearful, stressed or depressed
Constantly worried, or angry about something that is happening in your life
Struggling to overcome obsessive and negative thoughts.

If you change your thinking, you will change your life. This is the basic idea behind CBT for anxiety. The Cognitive part is where you learn nee methods and ways to change your same old habits and thinking patterns. If you keep thinking and expecting the worst – You will continue to suffer.

A lot of people have this. It is nothing to be ashamed of. You just need to find a anti anxiety medication. Go see your doctor. They can work miracles and literally change your life. You might even want to go futher with it and get into some therapy about your childhood. It usually all factors together but not always, it is just our makeup. Everybody has some anxiety about something, they just hide it. Good luck.

I'm in the same situation at 25, but feel just fine. I suggest you re-prioritize and find out who you really are...
Friends, social status, and all that isn't who you are... it's just what you identify as being who you are... and you will suffer until you let go of all that.

Go to your Doctor and explain what is wrong and ask for a thyroid test. See if your thyroid is under active. Then ask for some meds. that can help you with your shyness.
