Yes it is called crepitus,it is basically when two bones rub against each other.

It happens to many people and can be considered somewhat normal in that sense, but it generally means there is a problem. I suggest you see chiropractor about this. A general or family doctor will usually not do anything about it, but a chiropractor can fix your spinal alignment.

Im not sure...maybe you should see a chiropractor...have you been in any accidents lately? My friend's neck does that...she has whiplash from a car wreck.
