It depends where you live. Most states in the US 18 is the legal age for sex (some are higher, some lower). In Canada 14 is the legal age. In the UK it is 16. For marriage one has to be of the age that is legal to enter into a contract. Most states in the US it is 18 or 21. In Canada and the UK it is 18.

well that just depends on what state you live in, some states its 18 some 17 some 16, but still 16 and 25, thats so far from right to begin with, if my daughter was 16 and i found out she was dating someone 25 im the kind of guy that would go hunting for that creep....but i guess thats just me, but just because the law says its OK, doesnt really make it OK in my opinion

um so i'll say 17 and 25......8 year difference. i dought it is legal. some states say 16 is the legal age to consent to sex others it is 18 depends on where you live. i will say 25 is a little to old to be involved with a minor the maturity level is huge

You are not legal until you are 18 sweetie. It seems like you are already acting grown if you have a 2 year old. You need to be focusing on finishing school and taking care of yourself and your daughter!!! You don't need to be getting involved with a 25 year old man!!!! Handle your business young girl, take care of your baby she needs you!!

oh, man. you're too young. and you have a kid? by this guy? older guys only want one thing from you and that is sex.
I don't know if it's legal. depends on what state you live in. I think 16 is the "age of consent" so it might be okay. but not morally.

A guy who is 25 and dating a 16 year old is not normal. There is something wrong with him. If you are having sex with him and someone reports him he could go to prison for statutory rape and be labeled a sex offender for the rest of his life.
It's just plain creepy.

no it probably isnt it depends on the state but most likely as he is at least 9 years older than you. having a child doesnt make you anything but a single mom. but the real deal is that its your parents that would press those charges for the most part but him being so much older i think the state can press charges as well. but the real question is why is that guy wanting to date you? what is up with him that he cannot meet girls his age?

relies upon on your state, yet in maximum states, 17 is criminal, assuming you're speaking approximately having intercourse. Gender would not count, in uncomplicated terms age. Google your state and the term "statutory rape" to confirm what the regulation is there.
