yesterday i received one of those types of Christmas cards from a good friend of mine. I haven't really spoke to them in quite a while since they moved out of state. It was sad that there was nothing attached to the card, not even a quick hi hand written on it. So here's what I think you should do: if you are sending your Christmas card to someone you see all the time then no, leave it just as it is and put it in the envelope and send it off. If it's to someone that you don't see very much, don't talk to very much or stuff like that go ahead and type up a quick letter saying what you were up to that last year. It's nice to read about what has been going on. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays!

When I have received these kind of cards in the past, they always had a little note on the back that was simple...like Hey All, I hope you have a great Christmas, or Happy New Year. Or something like, "Now you can never say I haven't given you anything" (because they now have a photo of you!) Or simply put Love, (and your name) with no real message.

nope. i'm gonna do the photo card this year to kill two birds w/one stone so to write a note would just add to my work. i got enough pressure w/o now trying to think something up for each card. Just picking out the "perfect" picture is driving me nuts!

Not a message per se - just the date and the names of the people (in order) on the pictures!@

On the back, copy a fab recipe like Ultimate Egg Nog or one of your secret XMAS recipes- and shoot them through your printer.
Then, next to it, in large pretty handwriting with a cool pen to match colors in your card, write "Love" or "Hugs & Kisses" then your name after each one. Quick and Easy. Happy Holidays!

If you need to tell them something, write.
If you do not, don't write.
