Well, it worked and we have now arranged a date, the problem is though, I haven't written a thing and have no ideas. Does anyone have a (sensible!) basic plot that I could use and expand on? She is very sharp and would know if I tried to bulls***t her with an old film or book. Thanks for any help.

how about the story of a man who really likes a girls, he likes her so much he tells her a whole lot of material lies, she falls for him and they sleep together, then she finds out and he is charged with statutory rape as he had sex under false pretenses and then goes to prison where he meets "Betty" the hairy head of a bikers gang who becomes his life long soul (and cell) mate

All right: 2 guys are in Austrailia, and they find a dead guy, and in the dead guy's pocket is a winning lottery ticket for 500 million dollars in the New International Lottery. They think they are rich, but realize its an old ticket that expires in 4 days, and the ticket can only be cashed in the lottery headquarters in the USA.
BUT they don't know is that the ticket is a fake created by the mob, and the dead body they found was an inside man in the lottery corporation, but at the last minute of the job, he got second thoughts and ran to Austrailia until things cooled off, but the mob had connections and bumped him off, but didn't get the ticket in time because of witnesses (the two guys).
SO the two guys are going to USA to cash the ticket, and the entire time, they are waylaid by the mob trying to kill them in the process, and they bicker with each other over the money.
WHEN they finally get to the lottery HQ, the official tells them its a fake, so they get no money, and the two guys get very upset and blame the other.
They are about to get on the next flight to Austrailia, fuming, but then they see the mob again (of course thinking they had the money), cops almost capture them, but get knocked out, making people think the two guys captured the mob guys, and the two guys turn in the hitmen, getting a hefty reward (but not as much as the 500 million) because without the hitmen they turned in, INTERPOL never would have found a trail leading to the mob's head honcho capture.

(by the way, I've had that idea for a movie inside my head for a while!!! :D )

Here's an idea. Tell her the TRUTH!! That you made it up to go out with her. Tell her on the FIRST date. DO NOT, under ANY circumstances try to go with the lie. She WILL know and YOU will look like a clown. The ONLY way out is to admit you did it to get her attention. She will b e flattered and like you. The other way, when (and there WILL be and when)...she finds out, you will look like a creeper!!! I had a similar thing happen to me and theu guy came clean on our first date, I have always respected him for that...instead of finding out later and thinking he was a liar and wierd. So, this can work in your favor...girls like guys you go out of their way for them. Don't perpetuate the lie though, what is you fall in love with her? She will rejet you for trying to fabricate a life that is not yours, rather thanadmit you are not perfect, girls love the vulnerablilty in that. Good luck. don't lie! I'm pulling for you!!

The longer it carries on, the worse it will become. If it turns out you may want to see her for a while, you gotta be a writer the whole time! Come clean. Tell her that you invented the story to impress her.

I have an A1 plan for ya.
Tell her since meeting her you have been filled with jo, you looked at your screenplay and found that it was filled with dread and despair, you have since burned it and don't want to talk about it as it depresses you.
Tell her she is now your muse and you will right a new screenplay that will be filled with the freshness and light that she brings to your life.

You shouldn't brag about things you haven't accomplished. If she's as sharp as you say, she'll see that you're lying. Maybe you should tell her you trashed the idea and are working on a new project. It's never good to lie, not even about small, insignificant things.

basic plot- a guy that is infatuated by the beauty of an exquisite woman and lies to get her to go out with him, she finally finds out the truth and forgives him and the have passionate sex and become great lovers indulging in chocolate covered strawberries and champagne (have this at the table) and give her a puppy face, get it over and done with buddy lying sucks so learn how to save your ***.

LOL! Tell her it's about this chap who fell in love with a beautiful, intelligent girl and he desperately wanted to take her out on a date so he made up a story to try to impress her. Just smile cheekily while you tell her. She'll probably laugh it off.
