A full physical involves height and weight. They check your blood pressure, pulse and temperature. They as about any problems you might be having such as chest pain, short of breathe, urinary problem, bowel changes and any other problems. The doc will come in and check your lungs and heart with a stethoscope. He will check your eyes, ears, nose and mouth/throat as well as checking for swollen glands. He will check your reflexes and then have you lay on the table so he can check your abdomen for any palpable enlarged organs. If you are a female he will do a pelvic exam and a pap smear as well as a breast exam. If you are a male he may do a prostate exam. If you are a teen he will check for scoliosis. They will have you give a urine sample to check your urine and run a routine blood test called a CBC to check for any anemia or other routine problems. If you are at a certain age they may check your cholesterol and depending on if you take any medications or if you mentioned any specific problems you are having. Depending on your age and your doctor he may order more tests such as a colonscopy if you are 50 years of age. This is pretty much considered a full physical and is what should be done yearly.
