find a good stylist and make sure she knows her stuff, stick with her, she should lay out a plan of action specifically for your hair, and you will get good results. Home hair care is very iffy, there is only so much you can do without the experience of a licensed stylist. there is no wa you cna know what she knows, she stands there everyday and services clients with all types of problems, that type of knowledge cannot be found on yahoo answers, in magazines or in the opinions of friends and family.

I definitely agree with act as if. A good stylist is the key to getting long healthy hair. When I get my hair done on a regular basis I found that it grows faster and is healthier. I also found that my hair has grown longer now that I don't have a relaxer. Another thing to take into consideration is your diet. The better your diet is the better your hair will be.

It's mainly up to genetics. Not everyone has hair that can grow to long lengths or stay healthy and strong along the way. I'm fair and blonde and I have baby fine hair. My hair grows but it takes a lot of work to maintain as it wears away much easier than medium to coarsely textured hair types.

If genetics allows, you'll need to make sure that you follow a strict regime of moisturising your hair with leave in treatments and conditioners. Make sure that you buy a good shampoo and conditioner.
