Bravo! Any religion that claims to be the only way to God is a lie. The bible in no way is an accurate portrayal of the God that I believe in.

Yes, a shame to American Ideals, not God's Ideals and will. Salvation for eternity is not about religions and which one is right. Salvation is a gift from God to us through Jesus' death on the cross and rising the 3rd day defeating death. This is God's word and Jesus is the Word made flesh. It is about your relationship with Jesus and salvation through him.

I don not care if I disgrace America's ideals, I only worry about God's ideals. I am a proud American and I am an even prouder Christian!

Actually, most christians haven't even read their own bible, so they're a little confused about their own religion. They THINK they know what they're doing, that they're saved and everyone else is condemned, but they're wrong. They also believe their priest when he tells them it's their responsibility to save souls ... where if they had read their bible, they would have seen this verse:

Matthew 6:5-6
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Translation? Prayer is a private matter, keep it that way if you don't want to be a hypocrite. Yet, they prey openly enough, don't they? They harrass and annoy people by trying to save their souls. Jesus made commands that are opposite to the way they live, but either they don't care, or they don't even know it, because (say it with me) they haven't read their own bibles.

Chrisitianity is a very prejudiced religion, and by far the most offensive. You may like this quote by Thomas Paine :)

"Of all the systems of religion that were ever invented, there is none more derogatory to the Almighty, more unedifying to man, more repugnant to reason, and more contradictory in itself, than this thing called Christianity."

Signed ... a proud heathen.

May I show you what it takes to BE a child of God? We are not all children of God by default.

John 1:12 says: Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

Now you wont ever hear me make the claim of "follow me or burn in Hell" as it is not my desire that ANYONE burns in hell and I dont even give a care if anyone listens to me. But remember God isnt an American. Religious freedom was not His idea and if He wants us to follow HIS way, then it's probably a good idea.

Guess what. We want you to become a Christian because we WANT you to go to Heaven. I'm a Christian, and even though I try to fallow God's law, I mess up all the time just like you do. I'm no better than you are, and nothing I could do on my own could get me to Heaven. The only reason why I'm going to Heaven and people who don't believe in Jesus are going to hell, is because I want to go to Heaven and be with God for all eternity, and have asked him to forgive me. It's possible because of what Jesus did for me, not what kind of person I am.

The reason why people who don't believe in Jesus are going to go to hell is because they choose to not accept the gift that Jesus has offered them, not because they're supposedly "inferior" to Christians, when they're not. Any one, born Muslim or Buddhist or whatever, is able to accept that gift and become a Christian.

I struggled with that question a lot in my youth...

That's why I am spiritual not religious. You can believe in a God without having to tie all the organizied fiasco to it all. Remember, faith is more important than redemption or condemation.

why are you so angry?

also i think you misunderstood the concept of religion in that the idea is that the one you follow is right, otherwise you wouldn't be doing it. like I have faith in Jesus Christ the Lord my Saviour, ok? now would i still have faith if i decided that it only applied to Christians like me? ofcourse I wouldnt because that would contradict my religion. we want you to join us because otherwise you will burn in Hell. It's not our choice that you would burn in Hell, it's yours!

Jesus is knocking on your door, He wants you to join Him in paradise. we want you to answer the door so that you can join Him!

If you are truly a good person, how can you gloat that you believe other people will suffer, simply for following another path?

Good thought but I fear you will not find much open-minded reception to it here.
