Unfortunately, less than pointlessly didn't go. If you think it's pointless, then it's pointless for you to care, therefore you must either really care and are afraid to admit it or you're just pointlessly asking this question. So which point is it?

I pointlessly went to church to praise my saviour.
I pointlessly went to church to meet my true best friends
I pointlessly went to church to learn some very importnt things in life
I pointlessly went to church to see a woman pray the prayer of salvation
I pointlessly went to church to meet people I wouldn't normally be able to meet
I pointlessly went to church to have a laugh
I pointlessly went to church to be among beloved family members
Well, I guess this sums up how pointless it was of rme to go to church....
P.S: Bad question my friend:)

By your name, I can see that you are an atheist. For you, I agree, going to church would be pointless. For me, however, it's not. For some people, making their bed before sleeping in it is pointless. For someone that cannot stand wrinkled sheets, it makes alot of sense.
For you to consider something for pointless for someone else implies that you know what is truly best for them. I do not think you know what is best for me. For me, going to church is a good thing. I am peaceful. I am serene. I am joyful. I saw people that I didn't see the week before, and they are members of my family of Christians.
I know that you meant this only to make others angry, but really, you are right. For you, who says there is no God, going to church is pointless. However, the crux of the matter is that I do believe in God. Going to church is my way of worshipping him.

Not me. Nobody I know was getting married or buried today, and that's the only reason I ever set foot inside a church.

I'm sensing that your heart is truly that hardened that you feel the need to discredit the hope and peace others receive as a free gift.
I'll pray for you as you truly don't have to feel the way you do inside. Peace :-)
