my buddy, only after drinking a little alcohol, has sharp pains around his belly button area. He's not a big drinker- never was. So, any idea why this is?

Your buddy needs to see a doctor. This could be related to irritation of the stomach lining or even gastric ulcers. Needs to be checked out.

Liver problem or ulcer problem. He should see a doctor and not drink alcohol until the problem can be diagnosed

Sounds like the alcohol is irritating either his stomach or his liver.............??????????????? If i was him i would not drink alcohol anymore and next time he goes to the dr. he needs to tell him dr. about it and let him check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He may have an ulcer, which is irritated by alcohol...

i have the same problem. i think its just the fact that the liver isnt used to it. or something..

He could be allergic to it & it is causing him to cramp & probably give him diarrhea.
