Why do the liberals and the press, try to baby sit and cuddle the military? They are not Boys Scouts.?

They are trained with the best training methods and military academies. They are well equipped and well trained. they are well paid too.
They entered the military to specifically serve a noble purpose to defend our freedoms and our rights.
They joined the Army not for parades or camping in the parks. They are warriors and are the best in the world.
Our enemies, will kill us all for free, just give them guns and bombs, and you can consider it done. But our soldiers are taught ethics. Who will fight our enemies if we do not have brave and unselfish soldiers. They are the true humanitarians of the whole human race, for they give it all including their mortal lives. Poliliticians (not statesmen) and the liberal press, they serve no one but themselves, their political ambitions by lip service from the untruth. They distort and sometimes invent situations to destroy the very foundation of this country's democracy.
It's not the truth they serve, it is their political affiliations

The only thing I disagree with is that the military is well paid. As a national guardsman in Iraq, my base daily pay was $2 less than I could have made drawing unemployment in my civilian job.

I believe the press and people are afraid of loosing their own. Thats why they cant understand that if we signed the dotted line we knew what we were getting into. Most of us know that Politician usually have no idea were to send us and when they do it is not always a real necesity. But it's our job to go or would you not do the report for your company that you have to deliver next friday just cause you don't agree the methods or you believe is not necessary?
I know we are dealing with our lives here, I have come to accept that fact that my life may be at risk where I am suposed to work, however policemen are some times in more danger due to the fact that in some places more policemen die than soldiers in Iraq and we don't see the press cuddling them.
In the end is all about getting votes by attacking the isssue of the moment or doing the contrary of what your political rival is doing. Or reporting how bad things are for your family members in the war in order to gain subscriber for your newspaper, in the end is all about who gains the most forgetting those who actually matters.

You mean like how our troops are not provided body armor, and the Liberals and politicians pressuring bush to provide same, and from your statement, you seem to think they are being babied and cuddled by demanding they be provided body armor that can save their lives and prevent crippling and maiming???

You mean in violating the Geneva Conventions by targeting civilians, journalists, hospitals, and ambulances, and using illegal weapons, including white phosphorous, depleted uranium, and a new type of napalm, is that what you mean???

You mean like our soldiers being ordered to run illegal and unethical torture facilities that are a violation of the Geneva Convention, and in turn causing our captured soldiers to be tortured, maimed, and killed? Is that what you mean???

just b/c you train someone does not mean you don't treat them decently and with respect when they are trained.

when a person offers to lay down their life for their country, they trust that their country will call upon them to do this only if it is absolutely necessary, that a nation would reward loyalty with loyalty, instead of throwing its best and bravest in the line of fire without good reason.

i don't know what you mean by babysit, etc. i know that i do not appreciate any needless waste of life, no matter whose it is.
