Does he have a hard time breathing and is stuffed up every morning. The barfing helps him clear his lungs.

Well you don't give any more symptoms. With just vomiting it could be anything, allergy reactions to cancer. GO to Webmd and look up the symptoms. I tend to cough so hard I vomit and it's because my body cannot digest mucus so that's the only way I can get rid of it, and with allergies you can make alot surprisingly

He drinks too much or uses drugs.

couple of possible reasons, i no this is abnormal but it is possile-bulimia. a virus is another thing.
