The Man who wrestled with the Angel was Jacob You will find it in Gen 32:1-32
He wanted a blessing from God and wrestled with the angel until He blessed Jacob. Jacob named the place Peniel which means "I have seen God face to face" and Jacobs life was preserved.
Perhaps to put this in modern context as you have - Wrestlers should keep it clean and fighting in hand to hand combat is just that "hand - hand"! ! !

Bless you child, you miss the whole point. Go to the NT read Romans 10:9-13 and do what it says, and mean it, then go back and read about the Angel. It will make a lot of difference.

That was Jacob wrestling with the Lord. The Lord exalted Jacobs name and named him Israel.
That is Jesus Christ before He was born in a Manger.

It was Jacob, but it doesn't seem like you really want to know.
This story has a meaning. It means that if you persist with God, and don't take no for an answer, you may get what you want. In this case, it was a blessing.
