Oh be sure, these atheist and these of other religions, philosphys and such, they are all here to attack your faith. They work on your mind because they know that if they give the same message, over and over again, they may get you thinking the way they want you to think.
Don't be fooled, they are here to attack, that is their only motive. Why else would they come to this site? Why hand around a religion site if you don't believe in God?
They believe, be sure of that. Don't listen to them because they will say they don't but they do, that is why they keep coming here and putting out their repeatitive message. They want your mind, they want your faith.
How you react will make all the difference,so how will you react?

here's my view of atheists:
atheists are either brought up that way, or they have failed a test of faith of some sort. a website that a "strong atheist" (aka an atheist that pushes his atheism on others) pushed on me was called whywontgodhealamputees.org. hmm. i wonder why he's an atheist? oh, that's right, he is mad at god for not treating him differently from all of the other amputees in the world.
atheists are not evil, they just are god's way of testing our faith.
they're like high-schools student that do drugs, drop out, and try to get others to do the same.
the reaction? ignore them. that's all you have to do.

First of all; this is a RELIGION site, not a Christian site. ALL religions may be discussed here. It is nothing but pure arrogance to assume that just because it is a religion site that only your religion should be allowed.
Second; what makes you think that you know why everyone else who doesn't believe the way you do is here? Are you now claiming to be all knowing? Is that how you know that secretly everyone out there really believes the way you do? Or is it that your faith is so fragile that you absolutely must have everyone else believe the same in order to convince you that your doubts are unfounded?
Third; from my experience it is the fundamentalist Christians who constantly try to wear down others by continuously preaching the same message to them over and over again.
I personally come to this site not to argue, nor to recruit or convert, but to provide honest, truthful information to those who have questions about my faith. Sadly, I feel that it is necessary to counter the false claims and outright lies made by fundies who try to scare people away from a path that may provide them with peace and happiness.

Why do I hang around this site?
I've read the Bible, and the Gnostic Gospels, and the Apocrypha... Buddhist scripture, Taoist, Mayan, and Egyptian as well. Some of us here simply because we love culture and religion.
This isn't a Christian site, but a religious one. One for all religions and belief systems. Many people aren't attacking you they are simply defending their own beliefs. Just as you are trying to defend yours. However, keep in mind that one of the greatest reasons people have for disliking Christians is because of your arrogance. Something that is incredibly contradictory of the teaching of Jesus. Perhaps you should spend more time listening to your lord and savior and stop listening to those leaders who simply try to control you.
Think... if you didn't come out to publicly attack other belief systems. They wouldn't even know you were there and wouldn't feel a need to defend theirs. You could all live in peace... what a novel idea.

I just can't believe some of the answers you have just gotten! People can be so mean on here. I have not been here too long and I'm really shocked at the amout of people that do not believe in God. But, I just try not to give them the "hatred" back. You are right, all they want to do is to get us to go their way which we know is wrong. Don't worry, they won't get to me.

If one muslim went nuts then nobody could "over react". When there may be general help within the core east for the destruction of our country with open demonstrations and cheering within the streets once they killed hundreds of thousands of blameless workplace staff, that is some thing else. Gangs are a concern too. So is tuberculosis.

A belief in god and an afterlife which have absolutely no valid supporting evidence, and the belittling of the purpous a person has right here on earth which we can observe every moment with our five senses is one of the main problems in society which often leads to the needless violence and the destruction of what is known to be real, a human life.
I feel it is my obligation to try and dispel as much of these ridiculous myths as I can, as not only can I make a positive difference if I do so, but they have so little evidence to support their beliefs that it is very easy.
does that make me evil?

People of other religions come here for the same reason as .. people of other religions .. because we are all interested in "Religion and Spirituality". Otherwise, my reaction towards ignorance will always be the same: Education!

With good sound scripture and rebuking them in Jesus name.
They truely are doing the devil's work.
Poor fools.
I do respect other religions though and their followers that are respectful and truely seeking to know God in whatever way they best understand Him.
I know many in the Wiccan, Pagan, Buddhist, Hindu, Native American Indian communities, etc. who are very good and respectful people.
For them I pray the most; that even if they don't believe in God the same way I do that God will judge them according to the love in their hearts for all of God's creations and for their love of God in their souls.

( Not all Christians ) Some Christians get so paranoid when they see something that might challenge their faith. Myself, I believe in God, but not religion. I love to have my beliefs challenged. How else could we ever evolve in to knowing real truth, if it was never challenged?
