Because they have little to no control over the region and the American public DOES NOT support the current policy in Iraq. When most of Congress won their seats in the last election... it was because most advocated a withdraw policy from the country.

They're not. The administration's estimate of what would happen was a little unrealistic, but not nearly so much as those who think we're in an impossible situation. This is a chronic problem especially with the media, whose military experience is almost non-existent and dwindling more all the time. Oh, for a correspondent who's a graduate of War College!

It's not the military ... it's Washington! The Senate and House have tied the armed forces hands and want to pull out ASAP. The mail stream press has NEVER printed any accomplishment that was good ... all you ever hear is how hopeless it is. The press HATES the President. If you think that's not true, try to find anything about booming economy, the all time high of the stock market, the burgeoning housing market. These are all signs that our present administration is doing well. But because Bush tells it like it is, instead of pussy footing around like Der Schleikmeister did, the press has shaped public opinion against Bush by openly lying about world news and has made the President out to be an idiot! Our enemies are watching and listening. We haven't had an attack on our soil since 9/11, but if the Dems get their way, you better be stocking up on canned goods and ammo!

Hi Erudite,
The answer she is a simple.
The Decider (GWB) is running the show and is not allowing military people to do what they are trained for, . . . . to run the war.
The latest study releases report bush strategies and tactics have been a total failure in Iraq. I understand bush is ignoring the findings. lol
To answer your question, the reasons initials are George Bush.
Good Question,
Darryl S.

Obviously, we could just blow the place off the map. But we're trying to help them help themselves, and that has proved more difficult than hoped.
