Check carefully-- there are two frequencies available right now. In the US, the 125 mHz chip is the most common, while Europe and the rest of the world uses 134.2. Banfield hospitals across the country will implant two chips (one of each frequency) for about $30. Call 1-800-838-6738 during West Coast business hours for a location near you, or look in the phone book. Good Luck!!

You can get them done at the Vet. They cost about $40 and then you send the paperwork in to the company that maintains the records and that costs about $25

My dog has a micro chip. After I saw all those lost dogs from the Katrina disaster; I got my pooch micro chipped. I would never leave without him but you never know what will happen.

You can get your dogs chipped at your vets, it usually costs between $30 and $60, it varies per vet and per area.

Your vet can probably do it. Ours charges about $65. It's a really good idea anyway, since your dog can always be identified.
