My English teacher said, that everyone has a rock, someone to rely on, what if you don't have that someone?

My teacher is very sane, and we were talking about Of Mice and Men, and she was saying that George is Lennie's rock.

You can be your own rock, be your own best friend. A role model of someone you admire, whether personally known to you to someone known in the world. A book to turn to and read that inspires strength in you... i.e. the book Wicked and Tuesdays with Morey for instance have a wonderful message in it. Also, of course, God and those in the heavens are there to lean on. Really all this comes from loving your own self, being your own rock and your own friend in that you are seeking out this role model, book, presence in the heavens etc. to be your rock . . . till (and actually never to be left) that other 'rock to lean on' comes into your life through a love and or friend.

You dont need a rock just take comfort in the fact that everything happens for a reson and if push come to shuv ill be your rock Lol

if you dont now then you will one day. we are all strong enough to depend on ourselves but when the right person comes along it is nice to share. dont worry if this hasnt happend to you yet, it will and that person will probably be someone you never imagined it could be
