When a guy says he would love you if he was single what does it mean?
i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one

He probably means that he would love, want to be with you, if there wasn't someone else involved. You might want to just figure out whats up before you drop everything to be with this guy. But infatuation is like an obsession for a favorite soda, eventually you don't like it as much after you've drunken it so many times.

And the guy you're talking about sounds like a controlling jerk. Be grateful he's not single and stay away from him.

Wow! Why would someone fall for this old line. He's married, for the love of Pete. Don't make yourself a piece of garbage by putting yourself out as an easy piece. An old drinking song has a line in it about a guy telling a girl that "I'll tell you I love you, if you want me to!", in order for her to go to a motel with him. Loving someone can only come only after one learns to love oneself first. Have respect for yourself.
Anyone can get anyone they want if they set their standards low enough.

Yes go for a drink tell him how you feel, but watch the jealousy are you sure he is with another woman and not trying to make you feel like he does, i think you need to test his jealousy to see if he becomes abussive.

he is seeing someone obviously hence his commnet. if he wanted to date you he would ask you out. he will still be intimidated by your job however so it may not work out.

sounds to me like hes debating with himself on weather or not to break up w/ the other girl for you. if u like him, try telling ud love him if he were single too or sumthing
