I like smelling my gf's hair every now and then. It's not too weird, it just smells nice when I sit next to her.

He has a weird sense of humor. Have you told him you think it is weird and to stop it? If it bothers you than talk to him about it. He'll either keep doing it or stop. People are strange sometimes.
