I am wandering after surfing the net i saw a question that spawned this one in my mind. So what is it that causes attraction to others? If i become attracted to a girl why is that? What is involved psychologically or physically in that. I have heard of pheromones...is that much of what causes a physical attraction and why or how does that work?

I have read some things about the science behind what attracts people to one another. One thing that I thought was interesting is you are more likely to fall in love with someone who has similar features to you. Ever notice the couples that look like they could be related. Also reproducing is a big attraction too. Men are more attracted to women with a hip to waist ration of or close too .7. Those child baring hips. Also the effects of love on the brain are similar to the affects that people with addictions have when using.

There is an unnoticeable design to the naked eye, the curvature a woman, her hips, waist, and chest. Different men have different ideals, different tastes. In a study related to this they noticed that Americans tended more toward the barbie-ish look, while the Europeans tended more towards, shall we say, a well fed woman. Depending on your pre-conceived notions of what a woman should be, it will affect you sub-conscious, which will affect your desires. There is more than just sight, yes pheromones does have an effect on people. Go out and buy a can of Axe. Put some on, dress decently, and walk up to a girl you know. Tell her you have just received some new cologne and would like her opinion. If she seems agreeable, indicate by pointing or touching your neck and lean your head to one side. Watch her eyes. Closely. And her breathing. Be warned, she may react, unexpectedly.

For me, that's basically human beings's hair. If a boy has those shaggy/emo haircuts, im in love. yet for many folk, some human beings dont care on the subject of the character. all of us quotes one yet another. your perception of what constitutes attractiveness is i am guessing formed very early on in your psychologicla being.
you later just look for someone or something (or notice) that which matches and fulfills your perception.
