I am 6'1" tall, 25 yrs old, small to medium frame. I'll let you all know what I actually weigh when I pick the best answer. I'm just curious to see what society perceives as a healthy weight for a person of my height.

I would call myself "athletic" since I spend 5+ days a week at the gym or in the pool.
The idea of this question is not for you all to direct me to a height/weight chart, I know how those work. I want to know what society perceives as a normal weight for a female my height. Perception, not a chart. Thanks to those who've responded thus far in a serious manner.

i would say, 150-160 at least. anything less, i think would be too thin. im 5'3" and weigh 133 and consider myself fit/thin. thats alot of muscle weight though, so i guess it would depend on your athleticism. are you muscular or just body weight? ive seen girls my size and weigh 110, but not muscle tone.

I am a 5'11", 24 years old, medium frame female, who works out 5 days a week and weighs 175 lbs. I believe a healthy weight would be somewhere between 180-200 ( I have a female Friend who is 6'4 and weighs 200lbs and she looks great). I think a healthy weight on someone changes with every person. As long as you look and feel healthy I don't think it should matter what someone weighs.

actually at 6'1" i dont care - you rock!!! I am a 6'4"er
seriously I dont care what weight you are for the simple reason it will depend on your bone structure and muscle mass
if your skinfolds indicate you are 25% or less total bodyfat you are in great shape
to be a bit fun I am guessing you are between 155 and 175 lbs

My Mom is your height. She has a nice, firm build, still. She weighs 180 and she is in her 60s.
I think you weigh 160.
Screw what society says. You have the perfect height and as long as you are healthy, give society the finger.

I would venture to say 135-145 lbs but if you are athletic and fit - muscular - 175 would hardly be unreasonable.
But then again ... don't be fooled - swept up by all the hysterical media hype ala BMI as it's an absolute farce - unless you fit the restrictive norms of their flawed set of "standards" ...
(Sorry for the typo's as this forum does not permit one to retrace their steps and correct spelling errors ... grrrrrrrr)

6'1" is TALL!
Your first responder must be a rail if she only weighs 125.
I weigh 125 at 5'5" and I have a great body, so at your height I would think that 180-200 pounds would be fine.

well i like my women thick so id say from 160-180 but dont matter i love big women. to hell with society its all about the personality id rather be with a heavy set woman that has a great personality than a stick figure pre-madonna.

145-165. i think thats a reasonable weight for a healthy woman of your height. you did not mention your activity level so i can't really be sure. less than that and you would be too skinny.
