You can get mousse/spray that bring out your natural curls or you can use curlers/straighteners (and curl them round) to make obvious curls.

You could try a body perm, or a spiral perm set with large rods. Have you heard of 'rag curls'? Your mom could explain. You take an old sheet or what ever and rip it into strips ..for looser curls, use larger sections of hair. Start by twisting the sectioned hair slightly, take the rag and about in the middle of it start to wrap your hair around it, then finish rolling the hair in the rag. secure in place by tying a knot with the rag. when your hair is dry, remove the rags and finger style. If the curl is too tight, it will be usually, so blow it with a hair dryer until just the right amount of curl is left. Practice this technique on a day you are staying home first, it takes trial and error to master. It works really good on long hair and if you want more curl. Body perm, finger style, air dry, works good on med. length hair.

Buy a Babyliss Triple Barrel Waver designed by Patrick Cameron. I work in Toni & Guy hair salon as a stylist and this is what we use. Use it with L'Oreal Hot Curl spray for protection and hold. Trust me it's the best. Also if you change your mind it can be used as a curler. It's very easy to use. Just clamp the hair, hold for a few seconds and work down the hair. For an alternative plait your hair when damp and leave in for a few hours not quite as effective but it's a casual look.

Put your hair up on rollers and make curls, then go to bed without rolling your hair and the next day you will have the loose curl affect.
