Ancient Greek and Latin are both studied in Greek schools.
Ancient greek first begin to be taught as an obligatory lesson from 1st of junior high school (12 years old)
Latin begin being taught as an obligatory lesson as well from 2nd of senior high school (16 years old)

i am not sure about ancient Greek. maybe in Greece? kidding. but i can tell you for sure that here in Romania we study Latin. for two years if our major is in science and for 6 years if we major in literature, history, arts, law and more. i majored in science. mainly i studied Latin verbs, declinations, and a few Latin texts.

Its more of school district than anything. And private schools
