this is the reason:
Quran 2:109
Many of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish that if they could turn you away as disbelievers after you have believed, out of envy from their ownselves, even, after the truth has become manifest unto them. But forgive and overlook, till Allâh brings His Command. Verily, Allâh is Able to do all things.

many people believe that its a crock, including the quoran because of the fact that it is updated. Now here me out, normally updates are a good thing, but when you a have a religious book that is suppoesed to save your soul, it isn't a good thing when there is a law put in place that says that any new "doctrine" can replace the old. If it were true, and allah was God, and muhammed wasn't simply a fanatic, then it would have been right the first time, perfect beings don't make mistakes.

@William. Akhi, you're speaking a pair of sahabi there if my reminiscence serves me appropriate. That replaced into what a sahabi did, as that replaced into what I heard and examine. Prophet Muhammad (observed) has sooo plenty characteristics that it could be insulting to even evaluate him to the different guy. in case you examine the Quran and sunnah you will recognize that prophet Muhammad observed could be greater regretful for a "mistake" (no longer A SIN!) greater desirable than everyone else could be for a SIN! you spot that?he could be the single on the day of judgement who would be enquiring approximately his ummah while everbody else would be enquiring approximately themselves: "Nafsi Nafsi" (my soul, my soul). would Allah grant prophet Muhammad observed the optimal place in Jannah, along with his relatives and descendents and the sahaba. and would Allah curse those for eternity people who insult any of the aforementioned. Salaam

Are there even any historical references to Mohammed? (I mean actual secular sources, not the Quran or centuries-later Hadith.)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-Islamic_view_of_Muhammad's_historicity
Jesus at least is attested to by near-contemporaneous historians of the secular variety. Mohammed can make no such claim.

You can also study Santa's history. He is real, I tell you, REAL! I'm just glad he does not want me to strap a bomb to myself and kill people because they don't care what I believe.

he is referred to in texts but as a philosopher, like jesus is.
whether divine or godly, that stuff is all man-made cult mythology.
but even jesus issn't even referred to by any of the scholars or historians who were authoring texts at that time (up to 100-AD) so it is likely that he did not have the impact on people that the ridiculous stories in the bible claim he did, and the divine garbage is purely mythology and wholly unsupported by anything substantial.
