where can i get a quality hair cut for not paying that quality price?

You get what you pay for but sometimes hair styles are outrageously priced. Ask around if you see a person with a really nice haircut; ask who did the cut. That is what I always do and it works. Ask until you find someone who does good work at a reasonable price.

First tip: hairdressers tend to charge quite similar amounts, but have very different levels of talent and skill (as in every other trade and profession), so all you have to do is to be discerning, visit various hairdressers in your area over a period of time and judge the quality of the job they do, then stick with the one that comes out best, they probably won't be significantly more expensive than the others.

Second tip: the top salons often have training outlets, where you can go and have your hair done by one of the trainees for a much reduced charge. But, they'll probably choose how to do it.

you get what you pay for. don't go to supercuts, etc. you also didn't say how much you wanted or didn't want to pay. we don't know what is too much for you. i get mine cut at Trade Secrets, and they do a great job for like $25. some places also charge depending on the length or your hair when you come in. look around your area, and ask people where they get their hair cut.
