OMG. Really hate needles. Last time i freaked and refused to have it.
So needles to say, this time i am being restrained.
What will happen.? Will it hurt?
i know it is only a tiny procedure, and my fear is irrational.
but i'm so scared, and need to be told what will happen

seems like you have anxiety you need go to doctor and talk about it or you may need to take a pill to help with your anxiety.

here's the straight on getting blood drawn
1: the doctor or nurse will take a elastic tubing and tie it above your elbow below the shoulder.
2: next he or she will ask you to make a fist and hold it and he or she will tap in the area where you bend at the elbow to get a vein
3: now here's what you should do if you are afraid of needles turn your head and look the other way or close your eyes because the
needle is on the end of a tube with a smaller tube inside it.
4. finally he or she will ask you to take a deep breath and he or she will tell you that you will feel a little prick and take the elastic tubing off and the blood will flow into the tube and they take 3 vials
of blood, (vials are test tubes)

I am scared of them too. I always close my eyes and make sure not to see the needle at all and it helps.

Sorry, no easy answer. Try doing two things
1. look another direction-with your eyes closed
2. go to your good place-for me it's reading at the beach with the breakers in the background or ripping through twisty roads on a really fast bike.

If they use a small-holed needle, you won't even feel it. Just look the other way until it's done. The pain is minuscule, anyway.
