Im a girl but whatever I still wanna answer this. 1st of all don't say "i can't be bothered with the commitment of having a boyfriend" or "I dont like just standing together all the time, its boring,sorry but im dumping you.. bye" . Those lines are kinda harsh.
Instead you can say " I don't feel I wanna be in a commited relationship cuz I wanna do my own thing" & " I'm only young once. I have my whole life for a bf & I don't really wanna have 1 @ the moment. Hope you understand srry"
See...its basically the same thing but not as "heart piercing" as I like to call it. But if he did something that made him deserve harshness then tell him his faults & exploit it to its fill ^_^

um hi.um,i'm a girl,but i kno how it feels to be told this.it hurts.maybe...you could change the words a little like:
"I'm sorry,but I'm not up for the commitment of having a boyfriend right now.I'd think I'd rather be hanging out with my friends.Maybe we can try again at another time,but I don't feel like I can right now.Sorry.Bye."
I thought saying it's boring is a little harsh,but that's just me.

i know you said guys but i thot i would put my output on this. i think parts are a little harsh. i would stick it to the no commitment part but not saying that it was boring or dumping him or that you would rather have your friends. i think thats a little nicer. thats what i said to my ex. ; )

I don't think you have to be so elaborate. Just tell the person you aren't interested in a relationship at this point and give a nice and honest answer why.

Be more specific. Don't rattle on and on just say it in a nice way and be done with it. Don't ever say "I'm dumping you", That is rude.
