I know that everyone experiences pain differently and men and women also feel pain differently, can anyone tell me how much their lower back tattoo hurt?

I just got one of those too. It hurts only when it's being done, as soon as the needle goes away, so does the pain. But the longer the needle stays on, the worse it feels. It kinda creeps all over your body slowly but it's a sweet relief when it's done. Seriously, if you can get your eyebrows plucked, you can stand a lower back tattoo. It's just a longer pain and your lower back turns out pretty in the end.
Oh and by the way, get ready to buy "bare midrif" tops if you want it to be seen by others, and not just the person doing u from behind.

It kinda hurts at the beginning when they are doing the outline of the peice, but then the whole area goes numb and by the time they start coloring you don't really feel the pain, just kind of an annoying feeling. The lower back is probably the best place to get a tattoo(pain wise, in my opinion). Hope this helps.

Everybody's got different spots that are more sensitive to pain than others. The lower back was a breeze for me, but it could be really painful to someone else.

my mom got one on her lower back and she said that it did hurt but not as much as she thought it would! She said that the most pain was on the outside closer to the side. And it also depends on how skinny and bony u are!

Mine took over 2 hours and did not hurt nearly as much as I anticipated. I think the first tattoo doesn't hurt as much because of the adrenaline.

*It also depends on how long the outline takes, how much color, etc. Mine had a lot of color/shading and not that much detail in the outline.

Mine was more annoying than painful. Besides, the area kinda goes numb after awhile, anyway.

lower back tatoos are the most peculiar things. Everyone is doing it but no one is considering the fact that the only person that will view them is someone doing you from the back. if that is the case forget the pain and rent out the space to a company that will pay you for advertisement. that way if you are going to display the fact that you are loose you can reap the benefits. Point being you will not always be a size 2. you will get older, lowrise pants will go out of style (if they havent already) and you wont allways be so loose. Think b4 you ink.
