No, but... There's a gene in the human genome that's not in the monkey genome that reduces interest in bananas to a reasonable level.

Forget the monkeys, we humans love to make a banana split ice-cream and it taste great...ahhh the vanilla, chocolate, strawberry ice-creams, with whipped cream, warm fudge, crushed walnuts and a cherry on top.

Monkeys don't just eat bananas- they are omnivorous. They eat all fruits, vegetables, leaves, insects, shellfish, frogs, rodents, and are not above eating other monkeys ( and not in the good way).

Because they taste better than their alternative food...LICE,TICKS,and pretty much any debris they find on one another:Personally,I like them because they come in their own convenient, disposable carrying case.....
