You are taxed on your before-tax income, which I'm assuming is a little over $10,000 from the numbers you give. This would give you a federal tax of around $156, so you'd get a refund from the feds of around $400. If you have another paycheck or two coming this year, and nothing has changed since your earlier pays, the tax taken out would probably be pretty close to what you'd owe on the additional income, maybe a little extra, but the $400 estimate would still be pretty close.

Can't help you on the NY state amounts, I'm not familiar with the rules there.

I used tax act on-line and and I didn't pre pay my expenditures. My cash was once despatched from the IRS final night time to Republic Bank. I went on Republic Banks sight and all of the knowledge was once there. I referred to as Republic Bank to peer once they have been sending out my DD to my financial institution. They have already despatched out refund deposits and so they say it takes a million-four days to publish into my individual financial institution account. So, in case you used a 3rd celebration to efile, I could examine with the finacial insititution they use, particularly in case you did not prepay for any submitting expenditures they are going to have. Hope this is helping... I suppose just a little higher understanding that a minimum of it isn't caught with the IRS.

Based on the data presented, about $700. You do not have enough income to pay income tax (so will get the withholding tax back), but the Social Security stuff is down the toilet. You may get some money from the Feds on "Earned Income Tax Credit"; no way to tell from here but be sure to check it out when doing your taxes.
