I currently have a goal to lose between 25-80 pounds. Anyone try this dvd yet? If so, how much weight or how many inches did you lose? Over what length of time?

Should I try this for a few months or is something like TaeBo better? I'm a school teacher, so I don't have a ton of time to go to the gym. I'd rather do something fun like this at home by myself.

This along with most other videos are good for beginers. If youre 80+ lbs overweight, this will probably be a perfect place to start. It's a good workout that does some light lean muscle building. The hardest part with these videos is sticking with it. It's fun for about the first 5-10 min, then it's a pretty serious workout. If you decide to try it, don't get discouraged if you cant make it through the class. Just know that stopped x minutes into it, and make sure you do x+1 the next day to build up your stamina. Also, know this wont continue to work over time. If you find youre not losing any weight anymore, you need to switch up your routine. Routine leads to a plateau, but you push past that by doing different exercises.

Most importantly, you need to change your diet. This workout is great for your heart and core muscles, but that's not the most important part of losing weight. Working out is for your heart and muscles, diet is for your weight. They do go hand-in-hand however, so i'm not discouraging one in favor of the other, but know that your diet is the most imporant factor in your weight. Start by replacing all carbonated drinks in your diet with water and serve yourself dinner on a salad plate instead of a dinner plate (and DONT go back for seconds). Smaller plates make you eat less.

Good luck!
